Was an interesting 3D topographical survey today. We were tasked to survey and area with the main objective being tree height measurements. So we set out our ground control points and progressed to flying the drone capturing the photogrammetry. As the drone started its waypoints, two seagulls seem to take offence and started the usual circling and squawking. We applied the usual rapid climb to 350foot agl to let them settle and get on with whatever they were prior to the drone invasion. We had to repeat this process several times until they finally lost interest and left the drone alone.
We had a few nice shots of Penarth Pier and Cardiff Bay.
